Absinthe Frappé

Absinthe Frappe Absinth Simple Syrup Soda Water Mint Sprig Cocktail

This strong yet simple cocktail dates back to pre-prohibition days. The Absinthe Frappé was known as an aperitif and an acceptable morning pick-me-up. It now lacks any of it’s notorious hallucinogenic properties but still packs a high-proof punch. Refreshing, powerful, and simple, it’s easy sipping for those who enjoy its licorice flavor.

Two other classics that use that same distinguishing ingredient is Death in the Afternoon and the Corpse Reviver No. 2

Ingredients

1 oz ABSINTHE
.5 oz SIMPLE SYRUP, Use as desired
2 oz SODA WATER, Use less for more flavor
