Amaretto Sour Amaretto Bourbon Lemon Juice Simple Syrup Egg White Cocktail

The most common sours seen today are the Whiskey Sour and the Pisco Sour, the Amaretto Sour leans sweeter than its cousins. First recorded in the 1860s, Sours belong to one of the oldest original cocktail families. They are mixed drinks with a base liqueur, citrus juice, a sweetener, and often an egg white.

Amaretto, “a little bitter” in Italian, is a sweet Italian liqueur that is flavored with almonds or seeds of some stone fruits. It is a popular digestivo and can be enjoyed on the rocks or neat.
