Daiquiri Rum Lime Juice Sugar Shaken Cocktail

The Daiquiri was supposedly invented by an American engineer named Jennings Cox while in Cuba at the time of the Spanish-American War. He reportedly ran out of gin at a cocktail party of his and replaced it with rum. Among the many variations of this drink, the Hemingway is the most common, which adds grapefruit juice and maraschino liqueur.

Ingredients

2 oz WHITE RUM
1 oz LIME JUICE, Fresh is best
.75 oz SIMPLE SYRUP
