Gin Daisy (New)

December 17, 2021
Gin Daisy Gin Lemon Juice Grenadine Soda Water Iced Cocktail

This version of the Daisy is a variation of the Old-School Daisy. The basic Gin Daisy first gained popularity in the late 19th century following the demand for the original Daisy with Brandy. This newer version is less spirit forward and pumps up the citrus and liqueur components, making it a low proof cocktail.

The Daisy includes a citrus juice and is most commonly composed with lemon juice but can also use lime or grapefruit juice instead. There’s also a focus on a liqueur or cordial like yellow Chartreuse, maraschino or orange liqueur. The addition of these distinguishes the Daisy from other sours.
