Gin Fizz With Gin Lemon Juice Orange Bitters Soda Water Iced Cocktail

The Gin Fizz is the best know cocktail in the Fizz family. A “Fizz” belongs to a family of a mixed drinks, consisting of citrus juices and carbonated water. They are a variation on the older sours family of cocktails. Its first recording is in Jerry Thomas’s Bartender Guide in 1876.

This drink is very similar to a Tom Collins with only a difference in the type of gin used. Other cocktails in the Fizz family include the Ramos Gin Fizz and the Sloe Gin Fizz.

Ingredients

2 oz GIN
.75 oz LEMON JUICE, Fresh is best
.75 oz SIMPLE SYRUP
2 dash(es) ORANGE BITTERS
2 oz SODA WATER, To top
