Boozy Warm Holiday Hot Toddy Cocktail With Whiskey Lemon Juice And Honey

A cold weather classic, the Hot Toddy is often believed to have medicinal properties that help relieve cold and flu symptoms. Recipes can vary, but the standard recipe calls for a spirit (typically whiskey), hot water, honey, and often lemon juice. The speculative health remedy has vitamin C from the lemon juice, the throat soothing effects of honey, and alcohol to numb the pain.

Some have likened the medicinal effects of the modern classic Penicillin to that of the Hot Toddy. It joins other cold weather classics like Mulled Cider and Mulled Wine.
