Mexican Firing Squad

Mexican Firing Squad Tequila Lime Juice Grenadine Bitters Soda Water Iced Cocktail

The Mexican Firing Squad was first recorded by cocktail writer, historian, and world-traveler Charles H. Baker Jr. in his 1939 book titled The Gentleman’s Companion. He came across the Firing Squad at the famed Prohibition-era bar La Cucaracha, in Mexico City.

Its ruby hue is a bit misleading, as the flavor is only slightly sweet due to the slash of grenadine. Overall, it is refreshing and balanced. If you like a Paloma then this tequila drink deserves your attention.
