Monkey Gland Gin Absinthe Orange Juice Grenadine Shaken Cocktail

Created in the 1920’s by Harry MacElhone of Harry’s New York Bar in Paris, France. The Monkey Gland is so named after the pseudo-scientific data at the time that monkey testicle tissue (yes, you read that right) grafted into humans would increase their longevity. This idea was developed by the Russian doctor Serge Voronoff. Other cocktails of MacElhone include the French75, Sidecar, and the White Lady.
