Dreamt up as a Mexican-themed cocktail perfect for brunch, the Oaxacan Tail is a complex caffeinated concoction. Made from two agave-based spirits, mezcal & tequila, plus botanical Foro amaro, cold-brew coffee and a serious dose of mole bitters. If you can’t find Foro, or opt for an amaro bottle already on your shelf, Ramazzotti, Cynar or Averna make suitable substitutes.
If you’re looking for a more mild caffeinated cocktail, you can easily mellow the Oaxacan Tail to suit your preferences. The drink’s strong and rich flavors can be complimented with a dash of cream. Simply make as usual and top off with cream. Either way, you’ll be able to enjoy the sweet, smoky flavor of Esters Wine Shop & Bar’s signature drink.
