The earliest recording of the Paradise cocktail recipe is in The Savoy Cocktail book by Harry Craddock, in 1930. Not much else is known about this citrus-forward drink. The original recipe calls for gin, apricot brandy, and orange juice. In this slight variation, lemon juice has been added to smooth out the flavors.
