Pink Lady Cocktail With Gin Grenadine And Egg White

The sweet creamy Pink Lady is a classic gin cocktail. It gets its pink hue from grenadine, which is combined with gin and an egg white. This pre-Prohibition era drink has disputed origins, but its popularity during the early nineteenth century is likely because of the need to mask the commonly poor quality gin at the time. A variation of the cocktail adds lemon juice, which creates a drink nearly identical to the Clover Club.
