This frozen mezcal riff on the Jungle Bird was created by Missouri native, Robert Sachse of New York’s Nitecap bar. The Show Me State cocktail received its name by Sachse as an ode to his home state. This was his first cocktail on a menu in New York and he wanted to show some home-state pride as an achievement.
The flavor of the Show Me State is smoky and citrus forward. Served as a slushy makes this drink approachable and easy to make in a large batch for big gatherings.

ORANGE LIQUEUR, Preferably Curaçao
1.5 oz
ORANGE JUICE
.75 oz
MEZCAL
.5 oz
LIME JUICE, Fresh is best
.5 oz
SIMPLE SYRUP
