Chicago’s famed tiki bar, Three Dots and a Dash, gets its name from the Don the Beachcomber classic tiki cocktail. The godfather of tiki style drinks had orange juice in the original mixture, but the Chicago bar’s owner, Paul McGee, replaces it with dry Curaçao and lime juice. The Three Dots and a Dash cocktail, like many tiki style drinks, is known for its over the top garnishes. It can include anything from pineapple leaves to brandied cherries and even an orchid.
