The Tuxedo No. 2 is a Martini variation with an absinthe rinse, maraschino liqueur, blanc vermouth, and orange bitters. Nearly as old as the original Tuxedo cocktail, No. 2 also draws its name from Tuxedo Park, an exclusive community just outside of New York City established in 1886. The first written recipe for the Tuxedo No. 2 appeared in Harry Johnson’s Bartender’s Manual in 1900.
