Vertigo Cocktail With Averna Amaro Lemon Juice And Ginger Beer

The Vertigo is a low-proof libation created by San Francisco bartender Duggan McDonnell. He builds off of an Averna base, a bitter Italian amaro, combines it with lemon juice, and ginger ale. Amari are traditionally consumed as digestifs, intended to counter the effects of overindulgence after a large meal. Combined with ginger ale, it’s well equipped to settle a stomach. Its tart, bittersweet, and refreshing flavors make it an easy drinking cocktail that can be enjoyed anytime.
