Sangria Blanca, or White Sangria, is a fairly recent concoction. It was inspired by the classic ruby-colored Sangria. Its fairer cousin uses white wine instead of red, hence the name.
Traditionally, the wine is simply mixed with a variety of muddled fruits. The creation of White Sangria introduced the addition of spirits like brandy or cognac, specialty liqueurs, and often sparkling water or wine. This recipe is straightforward; for those who wish to doctor it simply choose some of your favorite fruits and your preferred white wine, a complimentary liqueur and go from there.
