The Final Ward, a variation of the Last Word cocktail by renowned New York bartender Phil Ward, maintains the equal-parts recipe of the original but replaces the gin with rye whiskey. This twist, created by Ward in 2007 during his stint at NYC’s Death & Co, has become one of the most popular renditions of the classic Last Word.
