The French Connection is a two-ingredient spirit-plus-liqueur cocktail. It combines French brandy or cognac and Italian Amaretto. The drink gets its name from the 1971 Gene Hackman movie of the same name. However, little else is known about its history and origin.
It joins the Rusty Nail and the Stinger in the two-ingredient spirit-plus-liqueur family.
