The Greenpoint, named for the Brooklyn neighborhood, is a riff on the Brooklyn and Manhattan cocktail. Created by Michael McIlroy in 2006 for New York City’s craft cocktail haunt, Milk & Honey. It blends yellow Chartreuse with rye whiskey and sweet vermouth to create a drink that may indeed have a slightly greenish tint in the glass. But it’s worth noting: The Greenpoint made with yellow Chartreuse, not its more anise-forward green brethren.
